Seeing the Northern Lights – the Aurora Borealis – is pretty bucket listy for most people. And with good reason. The time I saw them in Norway ten years ago I promptly burst into tears!
I recently interviewed scientists from Alaska, Finland, Norway and Iceland about ways of improving your chances of seeing them when on holiday next winter, and the results of what they had to say appeared in the travel section of the Telegraph newspaper recently.
I recently wrote for the website of Robb Report magazine about a new air safari in Kenya that allows participants to meet wildlife experts who are trying to save and protect endangered species…as well as flying low to explore some of the most spectacular scenery in East Africa.
2015 seems to have been my year of Iceland (and Japan). Here is an article I wrote on the beautiful and remote east of the country, which will be easier to get to from this month when new nonstop flights start from Gatwick.
